The Rangers AGM for members to find out what's going on behind the scenes and question the committee takes place next month on Friday April 21st. It will begin at 7pm in the club and afterwards there will be Widnes v St Helens on the big screen. If you want to raise any issues or propose a motion as explained below you can speak to our Secretary Peter by phoning the club on 01457 876 077.

If you've paid your membership you can pick up your card behind the bar from this weekend. If you haven't paid your £10 yet, please do so the next time you're at the club by speaking to a Committee member.

at 7.00 pm prompt.

Nominations for Officers and Committee

 

Nominations are invited under the following rule:

 

6 – Election of Officers and Committee

 

The President, Chair, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, two Youth Co-ordinators and three Committee members shall be appointed at the Annual General Meeting and hold their respective offices for one year and be eligible for re-election.

  1. Nominations for the offices of President, Chair, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, Youth  Co-ordinators and Committee Members must be made in writing to the Honorary Secretary to be in the hands of the Hon Secretary not later than one week prior to the Annual General Meeting in each year (Friday, 14 April 2017)
  2. Any two Ordinary Members of the Club may nominate another Ordinary Member, with his/her written consent, for any office on, or membership, of the Committee.
  3. Any vacancies occurring in the Committee during the year may be filled by, and at the discretion of, the Committee and members so elected shall hold office until the next Annual General Meeting.
  4. No member shall seek or hold any position on Committee, or be nominated by the Committee as, or serve as, a Trustee, if such a member is paid any remuneration or emolument by the Club which is calculated by reference to the Club's profits or gross income of the Club, or who is paid for services in managing or administering any of the facilities of the Club.

Motions are invited under the following rule:

18 – Motions for the AGM

 

The Rules of the Club can be altered only at a General Meeting. Any motion (duly proposed and seconded) must be sent, in writing, to the Secretary, to be received by the Secretary not later than twenty-one days prior to the Annual General Meeting (Friday, 31 March 2017) except those proposed by the Committee. The Secretary shall, in any case, forward a copy of the proposed motions to the Ordinary Members seven days prior to the Annual General Meeting (posted on the Club notice board 14 April 2017) and twenty-one days prior to a Special General Meeting and no alteration or amendment of such proposal shall take effect unless it is affirmed by a majority of those voting.

 

(Those eligible to nominate or be nominees, or propose and second motions, must be current voting members of the Club i.e. Committee members ( including Youth Committee members ), Vice Presidents, Match Ticket members, social members or playing members aged 18 or over who must have paid the appropriate membership fee for 2017)
