ANDREW REMEMBERED ANDREW REMEMBERED

There’ll be a new junior players award this year in memory of Andrew Curwell, a Rangers lad who died in an accident on holiday in Cornwall aged just 18.
He’d played at every junior age-group at the club and had made a name for himself in the Leeds Rhinos Academy when it happened while away with school friends in 2009.
His family have made a £1,000 donation to support the junior section in his memory and as one of his best experiences at the club was the annual U15's tour, the club is creating a new award in his honour for the ‘Player of the Tour’.
It will be chosen by the coaching team for U15's each season to reflect the contribution made by the winning individual both on and off the pitch. Andrew’s father, Stephen, will present the award to the inaugural winner at the junior section awards on Saturday, November 10.
