MASTERS FESTIVAL A GREAT SUCCESS

Saturday saw the club play host to around 100 Masters players from all over the country

It is 10 years since Rangers hosted the first Masters games of rugby and Saturday saw an anniversary repeat with six teams converging on the club for three hard fought games - all of which officially ended in the customary draw.

With the sun shining we had games between  Cumbria and Yorkshire Masters, Lancashire up against the Midlands and to finish the day GB Masters took on a team representing the RL Cares charity (including Barrie McDermott and Keith Senior).

It was great to see the camerarderie between all the players, with a large number sporting the yellow and green shorts of our elder statesmen, many of whom seemed to play like they were wearing white or black shorts!

A great day for the club and all involved.
