Massive well done to our player Andy Joy (above, centre) and all his helpers as they smashed the target in their 'Run for Jocky. The forward had set himself a goal of 200 miles in January and was well on track with 130 miles by day 18 but then an injury to his glute muscle meant he had to slow down to a walk. Friends, teammates, the U16s and even the England Students team then began running miles to help him.
By the end of the month, between them they’d covered 698 miles in the 31 days of January. Brilliant teamwork and all in support of Shane’s family, Karen, Freddie and Francesca, with £2245 raised for them so far.
Andy said; “I’m over the moon with the support and it shows what the RL community is all about.”
